Donated Dental Services (DDS) |
|
Donated Dental Services (DDS) is a program of the Seattle-King County Dental Society and the National Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped (NFDH). Volunteer dental health professionals and dental labs support this critical program in King County. DDS tends to the essential and comprehensive dental care of our County’s most vulnerable people; disabled, elderly or medically compromised people who cannot afford the necessary treatment nor get public aid. These DDS patients fall through the cracks of public health programs, especially Medicaid and Medicare.
Since the program began in 2000, over 300 patients have received over 1.2 million dollars in volunteer treatment and donated lab services.
There are some income guidelines and participant requirements for participants. To receive information about the program, please call (206) 441-8777. You may also go to the National Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped web site to receive additional information about the program.
