The Department of Health Safe Medication Return program is now live and accepting unwanted and expired medications for disposal.
The Department of Health Safe Medication Return program, run by MED-Project, is now live and accepting unwanted and expired medications for disposal.
The following medications can be returned through this program:
- Prescription and over-the-counter medications
- Brand name and generic medications
- Controlled substance medications
- Medication for household pets
How to Dispose of Medications
- Drop medications at participating drop of sites. See a map of drop locations near you.
- Use a pre-paid, pre-addressed mail-back package. Free mail-back packages can be ordered at no cost on the MED-Project website or by calling (844) 633-7765.
